A template allows you to reuse your customized column-based or radar techniques without needing to recreate them for each meeting.

Create and save custom templates
Custom templates can be saved for visibility in the Team Room or the entire org. Org-wide templates are available on Enterprise Edition and can be created, modified, and deleted by Org Admins only.

From your Team Room, click Create Retro if you don't already have a retro open
- If you want to start from scratch, select the Custom tab, then select Custom Columns or Custom Radar
- If you want to start with an existing technique, choose that technique from the list
- Click Start retro

Make any changes you want to be saved to your custom template by adding or removing columns, updating descriptions, spoke labels, etc.

After making your changes, click the gear icon () in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen

Select Save as a custom technique...

Enter a template name and description to help you remember your template’s purpose, select the technique visibility, then click Save

You can end the retro by clicking the gear icon or continue running it. Once ended, your custom technique will be saved.
Access and update custom templates
Once you have saved templates, they’ll be accessible through the retrospective technique picker. Org-wide templates will be available in all Team Rooms, while Team Room-only templates will be specific to the Team Room they were created in.
- From your Team Room, click Create new retro, then select the Custom tab. Your template will be visible under the Your Techniques section.
- Select the template you’d like to use, and click Start retro
- To update the template, make any changes you'd like
- Once you're done making updates to the template, click the gear icon () in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen
- Select Update current technique...
- Make any updates needed to the technique name and description, then click Save
- The changes you made will override the existing template
Delete existing templates

From your Team Room, click Create Retro, then select the Custom tab

Your template will be visible under the Your Techniques section

Click Delete, then Confirm Delete in the confirmation window
